Degree Pathways

Begin now. Become a data scientist. Impact the future of everything.

Number 1

Begin your career pathway by completing two courses foundational to the study of data science:

  • STAT 190: Intro to Statistics
  • CS 170: Intro to Computer Science

These courses can be completed:

  • through dual credit or dual enrollment while in high school
  • at a community college
  • while completing your bachelor’s degree (in whatever area interests you – no tech degree required)

Or successfully complete a Data Science major, a Data Science minor, or certificate programs such as Data Science Foundations or Business Analytics. With these valuable skills you can immediately enter the workforce with expertise that will set you apart.

Already have a bachelor’s degree? Check out Truman’s Data Science Graduate Programs.
